What? CID to go off air after 21 years; fans shocked
Mumbai: This news will definitely upset the fans of CID as the 21 year old show is going off air.
CID is one of the crime based shows which is aired on Sony Entertainment channel. The last episode of the show will be aired on October 27.
The show has entertained the audience for more than 20 years by solving interesting murder mysteries. It was also one of the longest running shows on Sony Entertainment Television.
Working with Fireworks Productions, CID will now take a break from 28 October.
The show features Shivaji Satam (ACP Pradyuman), Senior Inspectors Aditya Srivastava (Abhijeet) and Dayanand Shetty (Daya) in lead roles.
The makers, however, said that they will return with a brand new season of CID. The statement added, “The show will gear up for a renewed season with a lot more contextual cases keeping alive the thrill that the audience has experienced so far.”
Speaking about the show, Dayanand Shetty told, “We were in our 21st year and had we shot for a few more episodes, we would have entered our 22nd year. It is quite an unfortunate thing to happen as we were shooting like always and suddenly we were informed by our producer that the shooting has been called off indefinitely because there were issues with the channel.”
CID has successfully aired approximately 1500 episodes so far.
The show also features Dinesh Phadnis, Narendra Gupta and Shraddha Musale.
