Fire breaks out in a hotel of Gondia in Maharashtra, six dead

Gondia (Maharashtra): At least seven people have lost their lives after a fire broke out at a hotel in Maharashtra’s Gondia on Wednesday.

According to the officials many people were trapped inside the building.

The city police¬†officer Jitendra Borkar said, “The blaze was noticed around 0330 hours when the deceased were asleep. The cause of fire is not known yet”.

  • Deceased had come to the city for a wedding ceremony and were staying at a hotel.
  • 15 fire tenders were sent to the spot to douse the flames immediately¬†after they were informed.
  • The rescue operation is underway .

A tribal-dominated district, Gondia is around 170 km east of Nagpur and bordering Madhya Pradesh.
