New Delhi: A paedophile allegedly confessed for assaulting more than 100 teenage girls over a period of 14 years on Sunday when he was arrested by Delhi Police.
A 38-year-old, Sunil Rastogi was arrested on Sunday when the victim’s family reported to police on January 10 that their daughters were kidnapped and sexually attacked.
Sunil confessed, “I used to target girls between 7 to 10. Whenever I find any girl going home from school, I used to misguide her by saying that her father had sent some clothes or some articles to give her and then take her to an isolated place.”
About Sunil Rastogi:
- He is a tailor in Delhi.
- He has three daughters and two sons.
- In 2004, he was beaten at his residence in east Delhi when he attacked the neighbour’s daughter.
- In 2006, Rastogi was jailed for six months in Rudrapur area of Uttarakhand.
Three recent cases were reported against him, one on December 13 and two others on January 12 in Ashok Nagar area in east Delhi where he allegedly targeted girls aged between seven to10 years.
According to senior police officer Omvir Singh, ” A rape case had also been filed against him on December 13 based on the statement of the victim. Police is investigating the case. ”
He further stated that his daughters are also being counselled that whether they were targeted or not.
