Chennai: Massive protests are likely across Tamil Nadu over the elevation of Sasikala as the next chief minister of the state, after O. Panneerselvam resigned on Sunday.

People rushed to micro-blogging site Twitter in huge numbers to condemn the decision of the AIADMK MLAs, who elected Sasikala as the leader of legislators in the assembly.

Thousands of people have tweeted “#TNSaysNo2Sasi” to oppose the development. People are even demanding for re-election in the state as they do not consider Sasikala eligible enough for ruling over the state.
