Russian ambassador to Turkey shot dead while delivering speech


Ankara: In a shocking incident, the Russian ambassador to Turkey, Andrey Karlov has been shot dead at an art gallery in the Turkish capital on Monday. Three others also sustained injuries.

“Do not forget Aleppo, do not forget Syria,” said gunman after shooting Russian ambassador.

The gunman, however, has been neutralised, said reports. Andrey was hit by bullets when he was delivering a speech. He died of his wounds.


Following the mishap, security forces took the control over the situation. No terror group has taken the responsibility of the attack yet. It could be mentioned here that Islamic State (IS) terrorists have carried out several attacks in Turkey.
