New Delhi: Delhi’s deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday hinted that Arvind Kejriwal could become the Chief Ministerial candidate of Aam Admi Party in Punjab. Sisodia has asked the electorate of Punjab to cast vote in the upcoming assembly elections assuming that Kejriwal is the party’s CM face.
Sisodia, while addressing a rally in Mohali said, “Your vote should be in the name of Arvind Kejriwal. Assume he is your CM candidate and vote for him.”
The statement has triggered speculations in political circle as whether the Kejriwal is planning to quit Delhi once again. The Aam Aadmi Party, which won four Lok Sabha seats in 2014 elections, was seen as a major alternative force to Congress and Akali Dal for the voters.
The state would go for elections on February 4 for 117 seats and the result will be declared on March 11.
