Baran: Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Monday condemned Prime Minister Narendra Modi claiming that many poor farmers across the nation had been sacrificed in his so called yagna against corruption and black money.
Speaking at a rally at College Ground in Baran, Rahul alleged that the Modi government’s November 8 decision of demonetisation has snatched away wages from workers and has insulted their labour.
Earlier in December, PM Modi had described demonetisation as a yagna against corruption, terrorism and black money and had saluted the people of the country for their “wholehearted participation” in it.
Rahul Gandhi also alleged that the note ban has largely benefited the one percent poor of the country who have invested their money in gold, real estate, land and Swiss banks.
