BCCI goes hard on Smith; lodges official complaint to ICC

New Delhi: In a stern action, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday lodged an official complaint to International Cricket Council (ICC) against Australia skipper Steve Smith and Peter Handscomb for taking help from dressing room on a Decision Review System (DRS) call on his dismissal during Bengaluru Test.

BCCI’s master move came after ICC’s disinterest in taking any action against Virat and Smith over the DRS row.

Indian board has also presented ICC with a video footage in which Smith is seen seeking help from Australia dressing room following his dismissal in the second of the four-Test match series at the M Chinnaswamy stadium.

According to the reports, BCCI has imposed the charges of ‘”violating spirit of cricket and bringing the game to disrepute”.
