Mumbai: Giving no sigh of relief to its competitors, Reliance Jio launched its paid data and voice plans but interestingly, the plans are almost free if compared to its rivals.
Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani on Tuesday announced JIO Prime Membership programme for the current JIO users and new customers who activate their SIM before March 31.
All of these JIO customers can enroll for the Jio prime membership for the full year for a nominal one-time fee of Rs 99. Jio prime members to enjoy happy new year offer at Rs 303 a month.
Jio customers will now get 1GB internet at just Rs 10 a day along with free voice calling on any network across India.
It may be mentioned that the free trial of Reliance Jio is very near to its end and the plans will be chargeable from April 1.
“Reliance Jio has crossed 100-million customers mark in just 170 days,” said Mukesh Ambani at a press conference in Mumbai. Thanking the customers, Ambani said his company will keep on providing cheapest services to them. No roaming charges will be taken from Jio users.
The new tariff plans will start from April 1.
“Last few months a lot of tariff plans have been launched, which has caused data and value anxiety. Jio will monitor all publically announced plans for all operators across the country on a regular basis. At Jio, we will not only match the highest selling tariff of each of the telecom operators but provide 20% more data for all those plans,” said Ambani.
“It is Jio’s solemn promise to always offer better value for the best price,” he added.
