Agra: Condoling the unfortunate deaths of 14 people in Jalesar road accident, former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in the state.
Speaking to the media persons in Nagariya village, the Samajwadi Party (SP) chief said, “The BJP government would ever work is like a reverie.”
He claimed that the Yogi Adityanath government has failed to execute all its initiatives including cleanliness drive, anti-Romeo squad and pothole-free roads.
Last month, 14 people had died in a road accident in Nagariya village in Jalesar. Akhilesh Yadav promised to give Rs 2 lakh ex-gratia to the deceased.
He claimed that the sweeping has been stopped and all the garbage is again seen on roads, empty plots and farm lands. He made the remark in an apparent potshot at Yogi Adityanath who himself had taken the broom in his hand to clean the roads.
“The government is doing everything except work for the people of the state. Hoping some good from this government is pointless,” he asserted.
Pointing out that the bullion traders are being robbed and killed, he claimed that the state government has failed on every front since taking over the reins by the Samajwadi Party. He claimed that Yogi Adityanath has ditched the businessmen who had voted for BJP in the state polls.
Akhilesh claimed that the BJP government has incited the farmers’ protest across the country by promising to waive off farm loans in Uttar Pradesh. “Now we are waiting when the farmers’ loans would be waived off,” he said.
