Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik on Monday said that the large mandate of the people incorporated the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in the state, but pointed out that with great power, comes great responsibility.
The UP Governor had invited Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, deputy CMs Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dr Dinesh Sharma at the Raj Bhawan for refreshment. After introduction, he also presented them with shawl and copies of his book ‘Charaiveti Charaiveti’.
Sharing his political experiences, he advised the newly formed government to fulfil the expectations of the people and set accountability for every work. “Complete all the projects within the deadline and finalise the preparations for upcoming works in advance. Keep in touch with the people and maintain transparency in your public life,” he said.
He also appealed the BJP government to execute their pre-poll promise of transforming Uttar Pradesh into ‘Uttam Pradesh’.
Pouring praises over Governor Ram Naik, CM Yogi Adityanath said that there is a lot to learn from his political experiences. “Mr Naik had a huge role in bringing in the rule to play National Anthem in the Parliament. He also worked really hard to establish MP fund for the development of the country. He defined the ways how the money should be used for the welfare of the people,” Yogi added.
